These Scabs Aren't Made For Healing

This comic goes out to my family, as well as the families of every aspiring writer coast-to-coast.

Without knowing much about the details of the strike, my family has repeatedly told me that "now's the time to be a writer in Hollywood, they're looking for replacements while the writers are on strike! Get noticed!" For those of us who are caught up with the news cycle of the strike (as well as past precedent of the strike in '88), we know that scab writing is probably the worst career move you could possibly make.

Not only would I be crossing a picket line made up of my heroes, but also I'd be guaranteeing that I'd never work as a writer again once every one gets back to work and refuses to give me five minutes in retaliation for stabbing them in the back.

Et tu, scab writers?

I won't go much into this because it's just universally a bad idea and I'm sure everyone else knows it's a bad idea. So at this point, I'm preaching to the choir.

Thanks to United Hollwood for directing people to the site! See that? You support the writers, they support you. Or to carry the "back" metaphor - I scratch their back, they scratch mine.

Moral of today: Don't stab your heroes in the backs (or rather, don't "scab" your heroes in the back).

(Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.)

Genrezvous Point is a pet project of mine and part of Instant Classic Entertainment

The concept is simple, Genrezvous Point is the name of a mythical mountain that's populated by personified film genres. It was founded in August of 2004 to fill a need to have a simple and direct way to deliver my commentary on movies and entertainment.

Be forewarned, Genrezvous Point is not for everybody! Nor is it intended to be. Some people enjoy the simple commentary the comic provides, some miss the commentary completely and like it for a simply gag strip. And then there's a large group of people who dislike the comic altogether. Both outcomes are perfectly fine! "Pro" and "Anti" Genrezvous Point people can get along in perfectly harmony, it must be possible!

The comic is currently being updated seven days a week for maximum enjoyment!
