This comic goes out to my family, as well as the families of every aspiring writer coast-to-coast.

Without knowing much about the details of the strike, my family has repeatedly told me that "now's the time to be a writer in Hollywood, they're looking for replacements while the writers are on strike! Get noticed!" For those of us who are caught up with the news cycle of the strike (as well as past precedent of the strike in '88), we know that scab writing is probably the worst career move you could possibly make.

Not only would I be crossing a picket line made up of my heroes, but also I'd be guaranteeing that I'd never work as a writer again once every one gets back to work and refuses to give me five minutes in retaliation for stabbing them in the back.

Et tu, scab writers?

I won't go much into this because it's just universally a bad idea and I'm sure everyone else knows it's a bad idea. So at this point, I'm preaching to the choir.

Moral of today: Don't stab your heroes in the backs (or rather, don't "scab" your heroes in the back).
